At The BLITZ Team, we are more than just a nonprofit organization - we are a community united by our passion for pop culture and our dedication for raising awareness for lupus. Lupus is an auto-immune condition with no known cure. Additionally, lupus is difficult to properly diagnose and often requires more than one test.

The BLITZ Team chose to raise funds to end lupus because a close friend of our founder passed away due to this illness. This friend's name was Monica. The team desires to honor Monica's memory by doing everything we can to raise awareness for lupus and make donations to the Lupus Foundation. As of 2026, we've donated $3,000 to the Lupus Foundation of America - Texas Gulf Coast Chapter.

The BLITZ Team attends anime conventions and events every year in Texas where we set up a booth. This booth contains several games where you can win anime and video game themed prizes. The top prizes we offer are posters and Funko Pops signed by popular voice actors such as Stephanie Nadolny and Sean Schemmel. We also offer informational pamphlets about lupus.

In addition to the game booth, we also cosplay, participate in cosplay competitions, and host panels. The main panel we host is called the Gym Leader Challenge. This challenge allows you to earn badges by doing more exercises versus a Blitz Team member. This challenge is a fun activity to promote health and wellness.

Finally, the BLITZ Team has social media pages on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube to help spread awareness digitally. We also have partnered with the Game On! To End Lupus project which allows streamers to raise funds for the Lupus Foundation. The BLITZ Team is excited to play whatever part we can in ending lupus once and for all.
